25 Days – Book 7: Can I Touch Your Hair?

Today’s book is one of the most powerful picture books of the year for me. A book of poems, written from the perspective of two classmates – a white girl and a black boy.  This book is required reading in my opinion. It will make you uncomfortable, inspire you, make you laugh, and stay with you. Take a look at Can I Touch Your Hair? 25 Days – Book 4: Look

What a fantastically fun book I have to share today! I’ve been waiting for this one to come out. It finally arrived and I am smitten. A story about a brother and sister’s day, including a trip to the zoo. The best part? The whole book is composed of words that contain the letter pair “oo!” Come ooh and aah with me over this book, but mostly ooh as is most appropriate. Check out Look by Fiona Woodcock, 2018.

25 Days – Book 3: Here We Are

Another favorite that came out last year, this book is so special. Written by the always marvelous Oliver Jeffers for his little boy, it reads like a love letter to a new human being, introducing them to the basic picture of the world and those who inhabit it. The perfect gift for any special little one in your life, our day 3 book is Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers, 2017.
