For this sixth day in our Christmas picture book advent, I bring yet another of the fabulous BabyLit books. I just cannot get enough of these! For a perfect, short Christmas reading, Adams and Oliver have taken Dickens’ iconic tale and created a colors primer. It is both a clever way to introduce little ones to a classic, and also a genuinely fun look at colors. Color books abound as any parent well knows, but this one will have you grinning and very well enjoying every read through. Book Review: Alice In Wonderland By Jennifer Adams & Alison Oliver
It’s Friday, and as I prepare for a big post next week, I decided to present a short, light-hearted book today. I mentioned this book in my notable list from 2012, so I thought it might delight your day to get a peek inside if you haven’t seen it yet. A simplified twist on a beloved classic, this clever duo has taken on teaching colors through the fantastical story of Alice in Wonderland by Little Master Carroll as they call him. Or perhaps this post should be called the books I noticed and loved in 2012, as this is definitely not an all-inclusive list of the great books that came out last year. Whatever the title, I feel it necessary and enjoyable to point out a few of my favorite children’s books that 2012 offered.
